JugalBandi - Music & Arts in the Schools Program(A project of the Sebastopol Community Center)
Jugalbandi (Jyool-gull-bon-dee) is an Indian musical term referring to the part of a Raga when the musicians engage in a conversation, a give-and-take. Many times this has a playful quality to it. This program is designed to provide local schoolchildren the opportunity to both enjoy the performance of and interact with artists performing in music, storytelling, dance and theater. this program is a project of the Sebastopol Community Center.
Started in the Fall of 2000 this program seeks to provide school children with the opportunity to see world class music, storytelling, dance and theater in their community; as well as interact and learn from the artists.
